Note: I've decided that this blog is not the best forum for showcasing my ongoing daily drawing experiment, so this will be my last #draw365 post of this type. Please visit my flickr to view the drawings as they are posted.
In these drawings I was looking to capture different facial expressions in eyes and lips, and notice variations.
I flipped through a woman's fashion magazine and looked at the faces and expressions on the models. Although I expected alot of uniformity in the facial expressions, I didn't expect so much similarity when zeroing in on individual parts, like lips. I guess "pouty" and "seductive" reads the same on pretty much everyone in the glossies...
The second drawing here is also drawn from a photo. I loved the intensity of the photo though, and decided to focus on his eyes. I prefer drawing from life, so I really need to get back to the live model sessions that I used to attend.
