Final photos of my evolving installation for "Extended Drawing" at labotanica

Over the course of the exhibition "Extended Drawing," which closed Jun 19th at labotanica, I created an evolving installation that I worked on almost daily.  I drew on the walls, creating shadowy forms with graphite, delicate marks including contour map lines taken from some of my daily drawings, and bold lines that I stuck to the wall by "drawing" with black tape.  The end result was what I hoped for, an intuitive exploration of markmaking that stayed true to the spirit of my daily drawing experiment thus far.  I opened up myself, and the wall, to visitors and suggestions from the public by announcing the hours when I would be working in the space.

To view photos of the wall drawing as it evolved over time, please visit my flickr. I also have photos of the visitors that came by.  Some of them brought gifts and other unexpected treats, and our discussions worked themselves into the piece and informed the drawing as the project progressed.
